Summary:

The Cash Van Sales Representative is responsible for selling and delivering products directly to customers from a van, maintaining inventory, and collecting payments. This role involves driving a designated route, managing customer accounts, and ensuring that sales targets are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Product Delivery and Sales:
    • Drive a company-provided van respective a designated route to deliver products to customers.
    • Sell products directly from the van to retail outlets, small businesses, and other customers.
    • Ensure that all products are properly stocked in the van and displayed to customers during sales calls.
  2. Customer Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers on your route.
    • Understand customer needs and preferences to recommend appropriate products.
    • Provide excellent customer service and address any customer inquiries or issues.
  3. Sales Target Achievement:
    • Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
    • Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies to achieve targets.
    • Identify new sales opportunities and expand the customer base within the designated area.
  4. Payment Collection:
    • Collect payments from customers during each sales visit, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded.
    • Manage cash and ensure that all payments are securely handled and deposited as required.
    • Reconcile sales and cash at the end of each day, maintaining accurate records.
  5. Inventory Management:
    • Maintain accurate records of inventory in the van, including stock levels and product expiry dates.
    • Restock the van with products as needed, ensuring that sufficient stock is available for each sales day.
    • Report any stock shortages, damages, or discrepancies to the sales supervisor.
  6. Route Management:
    • Plan and follow an efficient route to maximize sales and minimize travel time.
    • Adjust the route as necessary to accommodate new customers or changes in customer schedules.
    • Report any route-related issues, such as traffic delays or vehicle maintenance needs, to management.
  7. Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and safety standards while running the van and conducting sales.
    • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or repair needs.
    • Safely operate the van, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  8. Reporting and Documentation:
    • Prepare and submit daily sales reports, including sales volume, payments collected, and inventory status.
    • Keep accurate records of customer interactions, orders, and payments in the CRM system or other reporting tools.
    • Communicate with the sales supervisor regarding any issues, opportunities, or feedback from customers.
