Key Responsibilities:
- Applies all accounting procedures in line with established policies and approved commitment of authority (payroll, payment, receipts, etc.).
- Performs the data entry of AR/AP and all accounting transactions.
- Facilitates the work of external auditor.
- Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions on timely basis; and verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
- Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation, issuing stop payments, payments, or adjustments as per commitment of authorities.
- Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls, and secures financial information by completing database backups.
- Maintains financial information by filing accounting documents properly.
- Remains abreast of all the new legislations, rules, and regulations set by government (e.g. ministry of finance, ministry of labor).
Qualifications & skills :
Arabic, English or French are required
A minimum BA degree with emphasis on accounting or equivalent technical diploma
Very good command of Excel / ERP knowledge is a plus.
Detail oriented, well organized, able to perform under pressure.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
