Elie Sioufi

Chairman

Elie Sioufi currently serves as the Chairman of EAM and the General Manager of Arrow Food Distribution, a prominent FMCG company established in 1994 in Jeddah, KSA, with a workforce of 1,500 employees.

His extensive experience in the distribution sector is underscored by his roles as chairman and board member of various companies, collaborating with multinational suppliers across diverse regional markets.

Anthony Massoud

Chief Executive Officer

Anthony Massoud brings over 25 years of executive experience and entrepreneurial expertise to EAM and its board. 

He began his career as a marketer at Unilever France, holding key positions within the local MSO and the European HPC Innovation Center. Following his transition to EAM, he led the transformation of the family business, expanding it from a medium-sized local enterprise into a group of businesses encompassing distribution, retail, F&B, and regional representation of multinational firms across the MENA region. Anthony is also the founder of The Malt Gallery concept, Glenbey Whisky, and several innovative digital and e-commerce ventures.

Joseph Massoud

Board Member

Joseph Massoud is a serial entrepreneur with a distinguished career spanning multiple industries and countries.

He began his professional journey in 1972 by joining EAM, where he played a pivotal role in its development. In 1979, he established Sands Company in Saudi Arabia, focusing on food distribution. Returning to Lebanon in the late 1980s, Joseph co-led EAM’s growth alongside his brother Jean, driving its expansion following the Lebanese civil war.

In the 2000s, he ventured into the wines and spirits sector, founding Marami SAL, which was later acquired by EAM. In 2010, he established Biomass SAL, now a leading player in Lebanon’s organic food sector. Over the course of his career, Joseph founded several companies and led initiatives such as the creation of the Syndicate of Importers of Foods and FMCG to advocate for industry interests. Now retired, he serves on the boards of several organizations.

Jean Massoud

Board Member

Jean Massoud brings a wealth of experience in the food technology and nutrition sector, backed by his formal degree in the field.

Over the years, Jean has made notable contributions to the retail landscape, including the successful introduction of the Havaianas brand to Lebanon. He also held the franchise for ETAM until 2002, overseeing five thriving stores. Currently, Jean is the proud owner of Atibaia, a distinguished wine brand, where his passion for quality and craftsmanship continues to flourish.

Georges Sioufi

Board Member

Georges Sioufi is a board member of EAM and serves as the General Manager of Arrow Juice Factory, a manufacturing company established in Jeddah, KSA, in 2000, employing 350 individuals.

With significant expertise in the manufacturing industry, Georges also holds various chairman and board member positions across multiple companies, enabling him to gain invaluable experience in collaborating with multinational suppliers in diverse markets throughout the region.

Joe Tayard

Board Member

Joe Tayard brings over 30 years of executive experience with leadership roles at Procter & Gamble, Danone, and Group Bel, where he was Vice President and part of the Executive Committee.

His career has focused on brand management and market expansion across developed and emerging markets, particularly in the Middle East and Africa. In 2018, Joe founded StratIN Consulting, specializing in strategy and transformation for family businesses.

Mario Massoud

Board Member

Mario Massoud is the Managing Director and Co-Founding Partner of Biomass Group, a company focused on farming and commercializing organic, sustainable, and premium food products across Lebanon and the Middle East.

Mario’s professional background spans management consulting and involvement in various start-up projects, particularly in the telecommunications and agriculture sectors, with a strong presence in the Middle East and West Africa.
