Job overview:

The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and managing the dispatch of goods from the warehouse to various destinations. This role involves scheduling deliveries, managing transportation resources, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate Dispatch: Plan and schedule the dispatch of goods, ensuring timely and efficient delivery to customers.

Manage Transportation: Choose transportation resources, including trucks and drivers, ensuring optimal route planning and load distribution.

Monitor Deliveries: Track and monitor deliveries to ensure they are on schedule, resolving any issues or delays promptly.

Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate dispatch records of invoices.

Communication: Act as a liaison between warehouse staff, drivers, and customers, providing updates and resolving any issues related to deliveries.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and transportation laws during the dispatch process.

 

Key Skills:

Previous experience in a dispatch or logistics role, preferably in an FMCG environment. (a minimum of 1 year)

Languages; Arabic, English or French

Skills; High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.

Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple priorities.

Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and scheduling.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
